IIT (BHU), Varanasi is going to celebrate its centenary year in 2019. As part of the centenary celebrations, Department of Physics, IIT(BHU) has come together with IIT-Guwahati and Society for Interdisciplinary Research in Materials and Biology (SIRMB) to celebrate this bright and felicitous occasion by organizing an International Conference on Functional Nanomaterials (ICFNM-2019). The central theme of ICFNM-2019 comprises advances and challenges of nano-sciences in the area of health, energy, and environment. Nanoscience is a novel research arena that cuts across a wide range of science and engineering disciplines. It has applications in most of research fields both in academia and industry. This conference will try to address the key progress made in this area which significantly impacts human life and society at large. ICFNM-2019 aims to bring together the scientific community and industry experts working in nanoscience and technology, to identify the key problems, to discuss recent achievements and future challenges in the research and development of the subject and related areas. It presents an excellent occasion for students to engage in discussion with leading researchers from India and abroad. It is our sincere effort to bring the most significant areas of research and technology in nanomaterials on a platform to discuss the cutting edge research and developments related to large number of topics.
